John Abraham's latest political thriller drama, ‘The Diplomat’, is doing good at the box office. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film was released on March 14, 2025, and seems to have benefited from the Holi weekend. As per the Sacnilk report, the film had a decent opening of Rs 4 crore. However, it faced stiff competition from Vicky Kaushal’s ‘Chhaava’, which continues to hold its ground at the box office.

The release of Abraham’s thriller coincided with the Holi festival, which seemed to have attracted a sizable audience to the theatres, filling 20.45% occupancy. The movie earned a decent Rs 4 crore on the opening day, followed by Rs 4.65 crore on day 2. The third day’s earnings reflected the same numbers as day 3, helping the film cross the Rs 10 crore mark. On day 4, early estimates stand at Rs 0.08 crore, according to the Sacnilk report.

‘The Diplomat’ is directed by Shivam Nair and stars John Abraham and Sadia Khateeb. However, she was forced to marry at gunpoint and abused. The film recounts how Indian diplomat JP Singh, played by John Abraham, worked to rescue Uzma and bring her back to India.

How Uzma finally crosses the India-Pakistan border to reach home is given a satisfying conclusion.”
