Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 6: Rishab Shetty’s Pan-India Film Crosses ₹257.83 Cr, Continues Strong Despite Monday Drop

Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ continues to dominate the Indian box office, maintaining an impressive run even after the weekend rush. Released on October 2, the film has now crossed the ₹257.83 crore mark in India across all languages, as per Sacnilk report.

The prequel to the 2022 blockbuster ‘Kantara’ clashed with ‘Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari’ starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor. Despite the competition, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ has clearly outperformed, thanks to its strong word-of-mouth, deep-rooted storytelling, and Rishab Shetty’s captivating performance.

The film was released in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, and Malayalam languages, and interestingly, the Hindi version has shown exceptional growth at the box office, widening its audience base beyond the southern belt.

After a stellar opening weekend, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ saw a dip on Monday but remained strong overall. According to Sacnilk, the film earned:

• Day 1 (Thursday): ₹61.85 Cr [Ka: ₹19.6 Cr; Te: ₹13 Cr; Hi: ₹18.5 Cr; Ta: ₹5.5 Cr; Mal: ₹5.25 Cr]
• Day 2 (Friday): ₹45.4 Cr
• Day 3 (Saturday): ₹55 Cr
• Day 4 (Sunday): ₹63 Cr
• Day 5 (Monday): ₹31.25 Cr (approx.)
• Day 6 (Tuesdy): ₹1.33 Cr (early estimates)
• This takes the film’s total India net collection to ₹257.83 crore.

Set in the ancient Kadamba period of Karnataka, ‘Kantara: Chapter 1’ delves into the origin of the myth that shaped the first film.
