Here are 5 sarees from Sabyasachi Mukherjee's collection that deserve attention!
A sequinned saree can never go out of fashion. Pick any colour and it just looks stunning! For her last release, Chhapaak's premiere, Deepika Padukone picked a blue sequinned saree by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. We all know Sabysachi is her go-to designer and for the big night, she went back to him. She teamed her bold saree with a matching strappy blouse with a plunging neckline. For accessories, Deepika Padukone wore studs and lots of kadas. What added to her look was her makeup and hair. Her hair were kept slick and wet on the sides. Talking about her makeup, her eyes were done in blue smokey shadow and a nude lip.
Alia Bhatt's multi-coloured stripe saree with sequins and embroidery was one of her most talked about outfits. This saree by ace designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee is one of my personal favourites. It is one saree I feel can work for anyone and for most events. Alia paired her saree with a matching black blouse that also had a lot of embroidery. Her look was completed with a center part low hair bun. Her makeup was kept minimal and for accessories, she wore long earrings.
The Classic Banarasi
Banarasi silk is a classic and can never go out of fashion. Isha Ambani for the Reliance pre-Diwali party picked a powder blue banarasi saree with a contrasting velvet magenta blouse. We absolutely loved the colour she wore. Colours like these work well for both day and night events. She carried the look with a traditional kundan, emerald set and matching jhumkas from Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Her hair were curled and done in a half updo.
Polka Dot Magic
Our desi girl looks stunning in sarees and she has some amazing picks in her closet. For her movie, The Sky Is Pink, she wore a white and red polka dot creation from the house of Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She carried the stunning saree with a full sleeves red plunging neckline blouse. Her hair were tied in a center parted bun. For accessories, Priyanka Chopra wore heavy golden jhumkas. White and red is such a beautiful combo and we love how PeeCee carried it.
The See-Through Saree
For Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's wedding reception in Mumbai, Anushka Sharma picked a pastel green, net cocktail saree by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. Her beautiful saree was paired with plain, brocade blouse. This one had a lot of sequins work. Anushka Sharma's look was paired with a 60s choker with Zambian emeralds and rose cut diamonds. Also, she wore leaf shaped, Colombian emeralds with cut diamonds. Her hair were done in a messy ponytail. Her eyes were kept smokey and overall her makeup was minimal and dewy. Anushka's see-through net saree is such a percfect pick for cocktail party.
