Deer Park

If you are a wildlife lover and live in a concrete city then this park is just for you. It is 2 kms away from Almora city and also has black deers and leopards besides magnificent deers. The flora and fauna is beautiful and you can spend the entire day here. The entree here is free and the best time to visit here is in April, October and November.

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary

Many might have heard of this place which offers a large variety of animals and birds to treat our eyes to. It lovely streams and dense jungles which cover around 45.59 square kms. Bring your cameras along and take lovely instagrammable pictures here. The entree fee here is Rs 150 for adults and Rs 75 for students. The best months to visit here is between February to April. 

Lakhudiyar Cave

This is an ancient prehistoric cave that is said to be as old as the stone age. If the historical past fascinates you then this would be where you would want to be. The hand-painted drawings cannot be missed here as they depict the daily lives of the cavemen. It is located in the Barechhina village and has free entry. The best time to visit is between the months of March to June and September to November. 

Trek To The Zero Point

This one is totally for the trekkers as it is the best way to explore the Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary with a lovely view of the 300 kms widespread wildlife and greenery just after a 1.5 km trek. From this point, you can also see the peaks of Kedarnath Peak, Nanda Devi, Shivling, and Trishul. Embark this trip between the months of February to April, and October to November.

Thana Bazar 

There is something for everyone and how can we forget the shopping lovers?! This is where you must go which is also known as the Almora Bazaar spread across 1.5 km. Each section here has a different specialty and the shopping time is between 10 am to 6 pm. 

Dwarahat Village

If you are in Almora then this village is unmissable. It is where you get to soak in the true culture where even kids get to experience different lifestyles and how people live. The entree fee here is Rs 1000 and should be visited in the months of April, May, June, September, October and November.
