Vande Bharat New Trains Launched By PM Modi: Check Out All About Their Route Details, And More

On Tuesday, March 12, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched ten new Vande Bharat trains covering new routes across India. The launch of Vande Bharata trains has changed the travel scenario in the country as it has introduced us to a lavish and luxurious travel experience at affordable prices. 

Vande Bharat New Trains Launched

1. Lucknow - Dehradun

2. Ahmedabad - Mumbai Central

3. New Jalpaiguri - Patna

4. Patna - Lucknow

5. Khajuraho - Delhi (Nizamuddin)

6. Puri - Visakhapatnam

7. Kalaburagi -  Sir M Visvesvaraya Terminal Bengaluru

8. Ranchi - Varanasi

9. Mysuru - Dr. MGR Central (Chennai)

10. Secunderabad - Visakhapatnam

Vande Bharat Route Extension

Now that 10 new Vande Bharat trains have been launched, the total count of these trains stands at 50. Other than the launch, PM Modi also flagged the extension of four pre-existing Vande Baharat train routes. Check out the routes below: 

• The Ahmedabad to Jamnagar Vande Bharat train route will be extended till Dwarka.
• Ajmer to Delhi Vande Bharat train route will be extended till Chandigarh.
• Thiruvananthapuram to Kasargod Vande Bharat train route will be extended extended till Mangaluru.
• Gorakhpur to Lucknow Vande Bharat train route will be extended till Prayagraj.

Previous Vande Bharat Train Routes

The first lot of Vande Bharat trains were launched on February 18, 2019, between Varanasi and New Delhi. The previous trains that were launched in December 2023 include: 

1. Udaipur - Jaipur Vande Bharat Express

 2. Tirunelveli - Madurai- Chennai Vande Bharat Express

3. Hyderabad - Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express

4. Vijayawada - Chennai (via Renigunta) Vande Bharat Express

5. Patna - Howrah Vande Bharat Express

6. Kasaragod - Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express

7. Rourkela - Bhubaneswar - Puri Vande Bharat Express

8. Ranchi - Howrah Vande Bharat Express

9. Jamnagar - Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express
