Udaipur is famously called the City of Lakes, but it is much more than that. While exploring the beautiful and vibrant city for four days, I found that there is a lot more one can do to make the experience more memorable and fun. After you are done soaking in the beauty of Ambrai Ghat, City Palace, Lake Pichola and Gangaur Ghat, here are a few other things you can do to make Udaipur unforgetable.

1. Photobooth

Near Gangaur Ghat, you will find a tiny photobooth where you can click some amazing classic photos which is similar to the ones you can find at Delhi's Majnu Ka Tila. For only Rs 250, you can take two strips of photos instantly and can also choose different layouts for the photos.

2. Exploring Saas Bahu Mandir

On the outskirts of Udaipur and about an hour away from the city, you can visit Saas Bahu Mandir, which mostly remains empty and is a one-stop destination for pre-wedding shoots. The beautiful architecture of the mandir will leave you in awe, and it is no less than a masterpiece. Usually, that type of architecture is seen in South India.

3. Maggi at Bahubali Hills and Sitting Near Lake

Also around 1-1:30 hours away from Udaipur, you will have to visit Bahubali Hills to witness the beautiful sunrise. Book an auto, cab, or take a rented scooty to the hills and see the stunning sunrise from the hills and lake. The trek is quite comfortable and beginner friendly but it is important to be careful. Do not forget the chai and maggi, as it will feel even more rewarding. While coming back from the hills, you can stop to sit near the lake for a while.

4. Bagore Ki Haveli Show

This is quite a popular thing to do when in Udaipur, but I had to add this to the list too. However, it can be tricky to get tickets. You will have to book tickets online at least a week in advance for shows between 5 PM to 8 PM. Meanwhile, ask the volunteers and staff at the museum for updates regarding the offline tickets. You still have to buy tickets at least a day in advance to watch the much-demanded show.

5. Asking Local People For Their Favourite Food Spot

You can find several cafes and resturant by looking at Google reviewa and saving reels on Instagram. But only a local person can tell you about the authentic meals in Udaipur, which most people miss in the narrow lanes of the city.

6. Live Music Qawwali

Several cafes and restaurants in Udaipur host live music on the weekends. Some cafes near Gangour Ghat even have Qawwali music, which you can hear from afar while passing through the streets.

7. Wall Painting Or Colour Hunt Challenge

There is a popular colour hunt challenge that has been going on Instagram, where people pick a colour and look for things with that colour. You can do this fun Instagram challenge in Udaipur while also exploring the city. If not the colour hunt challenge, you can look for stunning wall paintings across the city, which make the region even more vibrant.
