But the international destinations that are welcoming the newly wedded souls include some very different places people generally don't think about. Lapland, Finland
The mesmerising snowy and starry landscape of Lapland is a place you cannot miss. Wondering why so many did not think of it, the pictures of this place are Instagrammable and will definitely give you romantic memories you craved for. Zanzibar, East Africa
This one is truly a lesser-known destination which is in fact quite similar to Mauritius. It has 2 major islands, Ungunja and Pemba and these islands are surrounded by some really small islands. It is known as a very peaceful destination as it is away from the city and has beautiful beaches. Head to the Stine Town, Zanzibar Butterfly Center and the beaches of course. You can go snorkelling, take cruises and check out the friendly dolphins along with animal safaris. Do not miss the Mt Kilimanjaro.
Best Time to Visit: June to October to enjoy the cool and dry months.
Santorini, Greece
This one is a really famous destination which cannot be missed in a honeymoon destination list. Those dreamy white terraces and clear waters while walking down the historic town, this combination would the ultimate. Other two places you can head to are Mykonos and Corfu. If you like wine then do go for a wine tasting session. The archaeology and rich history of Greece is unmissable.
Best Time to Visit: September to October is the best to enjoy the warm weather amid a sparse crowd.

Maldives
The hottest destination at the moment, Maldives is a hit amid most celebs. The clear beaches and private islands with plush villas and privacy, what more would you want. Best Time to Visit: During November to April it is warm with a little precipitation, but the catch is that it has a lot of tourists. For cheaper deals and if you are okay with the rainy season then May to October is fine.
