Cold Pressed Sesame Oil
Firstly, Mira Kapoor shared that she uses cold pressed sesame oil for the knees and elbows to nourish them during the winter season.
Cold pressed oil is different than regular sesame oil. It is extracted from sesame seeds. The cold pressed version has got a lot popular lately because it is comparatively much cheaper to extract as compared to other oils. Cold pressed sesame oils are commonly used in many cosmetic products, they can also be used for cooking.
The zinc present in sesame oil helps in improving the flexibility of the skin, smoothens the skin and also helps in reducing skin ageing. Cold pressed sesame oil also works as a sunscreen because it prevents the skin from the harmful rays of the sun.
Sesame oil has fatty acids, it is one of the most effective moisturisers for your skin. This oil helps keep your skin soft and supple.
Sesame oil can be used on your kneed and elbows as is or even used on your skin with a gauze pad, covered for a few hours for best results. Make sure you clean your skin well before using this oil on your skin.
On her post, Mira Kapoor shared that she uses A2 ghee for soles of the feet, for sound, deep sleep and Ojas restoring. For those who don't know, A2 ghee isn't regular ghee, it is the purest form of ghee prepared using only milk using desi cows. A2 ghee is great for dry and burnt skin, it has a soothing effect on dry skin. It can also help cure a lot of other skin issues.
Ojas is a liquid in the body which is responsible for your energy, health. It has an effect on both your physical and mental health. It is believed that regular intake of ingredients like ghee can help increase Ojas.
Mira Kapoor shared that she uses lip balm to keep the moisture locked in and prevent chapping of the lips.
Not many know that our lips flush out toxins and produce new skin cells while we are asleep. During this process, our lips lose all the moisture and get dry. It is thus, very crucial to moisturise your lips at night. Wearing a lip balm at night helps protcts the new skin cells and keeps your lips soft and supple.
