This helps to combat the dry, static-prone conditions caused by winter weather.
The cold weather can cause your hair to lose its shine and elasticity, leaving it dull and lifeless. "Hair oil or serum is crucial in winter to restore softness and add a layer of protection against dryness," advises Mr Bali. Use a light oil or serum on damp hair after washing, or apply a small amount to tame frizz and add shine throughout the day.

While a hot shower might feel soothing, it’s one of the worst things you can do for your hair in winter. Hot water dehydrates your scalp, leading to dry and brittle strands. Mr. Bali suggests, "Rinse your hair with lukewarm water instead of hot water to preserve your scalp’s natural moisture balance."
Your hair needs extra care during the colder months, and deep conditioning is an important step that many often skip. "Use a nourishing hair mask once a week to replenish moisture and repair damage," says Mr Bali. "Leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes for the best results." Deep conditioning treatments restore essential nutrients, leaving your hair feeling soft, smooth, and revitalised.

While blow dryers, straighteners, and curling irons can give you a sleek, styled look, they can exacerbate winter dryness and cause hair breakage.
