Messy hair or smudged eye makeup may somehow look beautiful, but when it comes to lipsticks, you might end up looking insane if it is smeared! Bold lipsticks are love but eating while having them on is no joke. There are a variety of lip products in the market. While some are dry lipsticks that claim to stay all day long, others are matte ones, which is easy to apply but need extra work to maintain if you love snacking constantly. However, we all know, no matter what lipstick we apply, it chips off or smudges after we eat or drink something. So here are a few tips that will help you to keep your lipstick from smearing.
Fill Your Lips With Lip Liner
The task of a lip liner is to fill in uneven areas on the outer edges of the lips, therefore it is what a primer is to the foundation or a base coat is to nail polish. By filling your lips completely with it, you will have an extra layer. So, no matter if you’re using a liquid, dry, glossy, or a matte lipstick, before applying them fill your lips with a matching lip liner. This hack will create a huge difference even if your lipstick has smudged or chipped off.

Dust Translucent Or Baby Powder
This hack is also used by many to give their lipsticks matte finishing. The good news is that all this is really effective and helps in making your lipsticks last a little longer. All you need to do is take a tissue paper, little bit baby, or translucent powder. Place the tissue on your lips and dust the powder on top. This will solve that pesky problem of your red lipstick smearing on your chin.

Peel Off Lipsticks
Peel off makeup products are the new cool trend that everyone is loving nowadays. It is a great option for beginners and those, who constantly keep smearing their lipsticks. There are many colours and brands available on several e-commerce websites. However, you can also make your own peel off lipstick using this DIY.
You’ll Need
- Red food colour
- Aloe vera or a peel-off mask (orange)
- Makeup brush
Steps
- In a clean bowl, add one tablespoon of the peel-off mask or fresh aloe vera pulp. Add 3-5 drops of food colouring.
- Mix these ingredients well with the help of a spatula. In case you’re using aloe vera pulp mix until the consistency is uniform. And it is done.
To apply this, take a lipstick brush, and put a layer of the prepared mixture neatly. Without moving your lips wait for 10 minutes until the mixture dries up. Lastly, peel it off. Apply lip balm if you feel the lips are getting dry.
Use You Lower Lips To Eat Or Drink
Yes, it is a tip and not a hack. But, no matter what hack you try, using this tip along will keep your lipstick from smearing. Eating or drinking anything mostly involves the lower lips out of both. Therefore, it is more likely to run out of the product. If you keep your upper lips from smudging too much, you can use it to reapply lipstick on the lower lip without actually using the whole product again. You just have to press your lips together to make everything even. The limitation here is, this hack won’t work with dry out lipstick.
