Ingredients

    To make dahi bhalla you need one cup of soaked urad dal, one cup of thick yoghurt, half tsp salt, half tsp roasted cumin powder, two tbsp tamarind chutney and mint-coriander chutney and half tsp chaat masala.

Prepare the bhallas

    Take soaked urad dal and grind it into a smooth batter. Add a pinch of salt and mix well to make it fluffy. Heat oil and deep-fry small portions of the batter until golden brown.

Soak the bhallas

    Once the bhalla is fried, soak them in warm water for 15 minutes. Gently squeeze out excess water and set it aside.

Prepare the yoghurt mixture

    Whisk thick yoghurt until smooth. Add a little water, salt, and roasted cumin powder to adjust the consistency.

Prepare the chaat

    Place the bhallas on a plate. Pour the whisked yoghurt over them. Sprinkle tamarind and mint-coriander chutneys on top.

Garnish and serve

    Now, sprinkle chaat masala and roasted cumin powder for extra flavour. Garnish with sev and pomegranate seeds.
