Oops Ab Kya?: What Does The Teaser Show

The teaser of Oops Ab Kya? starts with a curious Roohi (Basu Prasad) watching an intimate scene on TV. When someone catches her doing that, they drop a piggy bank (gullak) on the floor. At the time, we don't know who that is, but later, we realize it's her conservative grandmother, played by Apara Mehta.

She says, "Beta izzat na gullak jaise hoti hai. Ek baar toot jaye toh dubara judti nahi hai (Respect is like a piggy bank. Once it breaks, it never gets repaired). Interestingly, the teaser has several scenes where she drops a gullak on the floor and we understand its significance as the promotional clip progresses.

The basic premise is mistaken artificial insemination, which leaves Roohi pregnant with none other than her boss' child. While Sonali Kulkarni plays her mother, Jaaferi is seen as a character who might embark on a relationship with Kulkarni.

Abhay Mahajan, Gulati, and Amy Aela portray Basu Prasad's boyfriend, boss, and boss' wife, respectively. The teaser is a humorous watch and raises hopes of a good series, but the plot is tricky. We just hope the makers do justice to it.

Disney+ Hotstar, while sharing the teaser, wittily captioned: This one’s going to be a bumpy ride, and ended it with a pregnant woman's emoji.

Talking about the web-series and her character, the Tribhuvan Mishra: CA Topper actress said, "It’s a beautiful story about how life throws curveballs and how we deal with them. Playing this character was such a joy because Roohi is bold, vulnerable, and hilariously relatable."

Oops Ab Kya? is based on a Latin American rom-com telenovela Jane the Virgin, which won its lead actress Gina Rodriguez a Golden Globe. Directed by Debatma Mandal and Prem Mistry, the series has been produced by Dice Media. Dice has made popular web-serieslike Little Things, Ghar Waapsi, What The Folks, Adulting, Operation MBBS, Crushed, and Half Love Half Arranged, so hopes are surely high.

Oops Ab Kya? is set to hit Disney+ Hotstar on February 20.
