Nivin Pauly is stepping into a new territory with his debut web series, Pharma, a gripping medical thriller that exposes the hidden realities of the healthcare industry. Directed by P.R. Arun, the series made waves during its premiere at the 55th International Film Festival of India (IFFI) and is now ready for its digital launch. As the narrative tackles the dangerous intersection of profit and patient safety, Pharma is poised to be one of the most socially relevant Malayalam series of 2025.

Pharma OTT Release: When And Where To Watch 

Pharma is officially scheduled to premiere on December 19, 2025. The series will be available exclusively on JioHotstar (formerly Disney+ Hotstar in India).

To cater to a global and pan-India audience, the makers have confirmed that the series will stream in seven languages, including Malayalam, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Bengali, and Marathi. Inspired by true events, the show marks a significant milestone as Nivin Pauly's first-ever web series project.

Pharma Plot

The series follows the journey of K.P. Vinod (Nivin Pauly), a young and ambitious medical sales representative. As he climbs the corporate ladder by successfully promoting a new drug called KydoXin, he eventually uncovers its life-threatening side effects. The plot delves into the "murky underbelly" of the medical ecosystem, exposing a larger conspiracy involving corporate profiteering, unethical drug trials, and the moral dilemmas faced by those within the system.
