WPL 2026 Auction: The mega bidding war for the Women's Players League 2026 Auction took place today. Over the years, the WPL has garnered attention from all across the globe, and people tune in from everywhere to watch the games. Women’s cricket has been getting the spotlight and the respect it deserves ever since Team India won the ICC Women's World Cup 2025. For the WPL 2026, there will be five teams competing to lift the trophy for this tournament. The WPL 2026 will be the fourth edition of this cricket tournament. WPL 2026 will begin from January 9, 2026, onwards, and all the matches will be hosted by Navi Mumbai and Vadodara. About The WPL Auction 2026 

The bidding war for the WPL 2026 auction took place on November 27, 2025. This is the first chance for teams to rebuild, and they were allowed to retain a maximum of five players. The two-time champions, Mumbai Indians and three-time finalists Delhi Capitals opted to go for the full capacity of retentions. On the other hand, the second season champions, Royal Challengers Bengaluru, were able to retain four players.
