The World Cup tournament for 2025 kicked off on September 30, 2025. We saw eight top national teams from all across the globe, competing for the world title. For the first match of the ICC Women's ODI World Cup 2025, Team India played against Team Sri Lanka. This first match was won by Team India.

Fast forward to the semi-finals, and the match was played between Team India and Team Australia. Team India saw a glorious win against the seven-time winner, Team Australia, and won by five wickets.
