Taylor Swift Wins 6 Awards At The American Music Awards 2022

Taylor Swift creates history by winning in all six categories in which she was nominated. The Anti-Hero singer becomes the first artist to receive the most awards at the AMAs till now. She was nominated for Pop Artist of the Year, Favourite Pop Album, Favourite Female Pop Artist, Country Album of the Year, Favourite Music Video, and Favourite Female Country Artist.

Swift’s re-recording of her 2012 record “Red” took the trophy for favourite pop album. The 32-year-old singer has been making new versions of albums from her past after a dispute with her former record label.

Swift later went on stage to accept the trophy for the best music video for "All Too Well". She thanked the audience for their support of the song, and she stated what allowed her to release the 10-minute version of the song and create the short film featuring Sink and O'Brien. And for her win, Swift reflected on how her fans' encouragement had allowed her to make "more songs" in recent years than she had "in the entire decade before that," which had sustained her and made her happy. She commented when accepting the artist of the year award, "You know, in the last few years, I have released more music than I did in the entire decade preceding that, and I truly feel like that's down to the fact that you, the audience, wanted to hear tonnes of music that I would compose. You encourage me."

Another artist who won big at the award show was BTS. They won the Favourite Pop Duo/Group award for the fourth time in a row. Last year BTS won the Artist Of The Year Award. Harry Styles won the favourite male pop artist award. Beyoncé and Taylor Swift were this year's most-nominated female artists. Kendrick Lamar and Nicki Minaj were the other big winners in the Hip Hop category. Beyonce took Favourite R&B Artist, and Bad Bunny, managed to take two, including Favourite Make Latin Artist.
