The undisputed king of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan has been missing in action for four years now. SRK was last seen in the 2018 movie Zero that starred Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma in lead roles. Through the 30 years of his journey in Bollywood, he had a great run at the box office with multiple hits but fans still want more!
It was such a sigh of relief when Khan announced his action-packed thriller Pathaan last year. Starring SRK, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in lead roles, the film will hit the screens on January 25, 2023. The Siddharth Anand directorial is going to be a pan-India release in Hindi and dubbed versions in Telugu and Tamil.
Shah Rukh Khan announcing his second film after Pathaan was a big treat for all his fans across the world. Earlier this year, Khan announced the Rajkumari Hirani directorial Dunki. Now he has shared the latest update for the upcoming film on his Instagram handle.

Khan took to his IG and posted a video expressing his heartfelt gratitude towards the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Culture. He thanked the government for letting the team shoot at spectacular locations, for all the arrangements, and the warm hospitality. He further thanked team Dunki for making the shooting experience so 'lovely' for him.

The official announcement video was released on April 19, 2022. In the video, Shah Rukh Khan was seen looking at posters of Hirani's hit films, Munnabhai MBBS, PK, feeling left out, asking the filmmaker to cast him in one of his films too. Sharing the announcement video, Shah Rukh Khan on his Instagram wrote, "Dear @hirani.rajkumar sir, Aap toh Mere Santa Claus nikle. Aap shuru karo main time pe pahunch jaunga. actually main toh set par hi rehne lagunga!Feeling humbled and excited to finally work with you.Bringing to you all #Dunki in cinemas on 22nd December 2023 @taapsee @gaurikhan @redchilliesent @rhfilmsofficial (sic)."

Dunki marks Shah Rukh Khan and Rajkumar Hirani's first collaboration. The film will star Taapsee Pannu opposite Khan. Boman Irani, Satish Shah, Vicky Kaushal too are a part of team Dunki, reportedly. The comedy-drama will be released in December 2023.
