Saket Court Firing: Criminal Identified As A History Sheeter; Victim Admitted In AIIMS

On April 21, 2023, a woman was shot in Saket Court, New Delhi. She was a witness in a case and was brought to the court to testify. Police took her to the hospital where it has been told that her condition is critical. She is currently being treated at AIIMS.

Aaj Tak has reported that the criminal entered the premise of the court dressed as lawyers. According to the initial reports, four rounds of bullets were fired. At the time, the witness was with her advocate. The criminal has been identified as a history sheeter.

A user shared clips of the victim being taken to the hospital and police investigating the incident.

A person reported that he and his friend were only 10 steps away from where the incident took place. His tweet read, "I can seriously say this was horrific. A man dressed up like an advocate came to kill a witness.

CM Arvind Kejriwal Reacted On Twitter

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal took to Twitter and questioned what was happening in the capital of India. He also advised that people must not indulge in politics and focus on their work.

Four Rounds Were Fired At The Victim

According to new reports that have surfaced, there were five rounds of firing out of which four rounds were targeted at the woman. One of the bullets also hit Advocate Ajay Singh Chauhan.

It is also being said that the shooter was also a suspended lawyer, and he knew the victim before. According to reports, the two have not been on good terms for a long time, following which the shooter fired at her today.

Two Bullets Hit The Stomach & One Hit The Hand

The firing happened at 10.30 AM. The victim has been identified as Radha. The 40-year-old woman has been shot two bullets in the stomach and one in the hand. Despite this, the videos going around on social media, the victim walked to the vehicle that took her to the hospital.

The bar council has suspended the shooter. Radha was in court to attend a hearing of the case filed against her by her husband. Under Section 420, Radha's husband filed a case for cheating and dishonesty.

The police are also investigating how the shooter was able to bring the gun inside the premise of the court.
