As shared on the Facebook page of Humans Of India, a female passenger travelling from Anand Vihar Terminal to Raxaul in berth number 11 of the B-1 coach on the Sadbhavna Express (train number 14018) encountered discomfort during her journey. Seeking assistance as her situation worsened after passing Ballia, she utilised the Rail Madad app to request sanitary pads.
This urgent message reached the ticket collector (TC) office at Chhapra railway station via the control room. TC Pratima Kumari immediately recognised the passenger's needs and dispatched a colleague to procure the requested pads. Upon the Sadbhavna Express's arrival at Chhapra Junction, Pratima Kumari personally went to platform three to deliver the pads to the passenger and check on her well-being. The grateful woman not only expressed her appreciation to the railways but also paid for the pads.

According to the Chhapra station's TC office, this marked the first instance of a female passenger making such a request, which was met with utmost respect and sensitivity. Other passengers and co-travellers also commended this commendable initiative by the railways.
