How To Update Aadhar Card For Free
Here’s a step-by-step guide to updating your Aadhaar card for free:
Step 1: Visit the official website of Aadhaar, myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in and log in using your aadhaar number and OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 2: Go through your profile for accuracy in your identity details and address.
Step 3: If everything appears correct, click on the statement, “I verify that the above details are correct”.
Step 4: Select the identity proof and address proof documents from the list mentioned.
Step 5: Upload the documents in JPEG, PNG, or PDF format, ensuring the file size is under 2 MB.
Step 6: Review the information and click submit.
Step 7: You will receive a ‘Service Request Number’ in your email which you can use to track your Aadhaar update status.
Aadhaar Free Update Last Date
According to UIDAI, The free Aadhaar update window is available till September 14, 2024. However, if you miss this deadline, you will have to pay Rs 50 to update Aadhaar details. You can only update your address and identity details online. For other biometric details like name, date of birth, email address, and phone number, you will be required to visit the Aadhaar update centres.
