Maja Ma: Madhuri Dixit's Family Entertainer Is First Indian Amazon Original

Amazon Prime Video’s First Indian Original, Maja Ma, starring Dixit is scheduled to have a worldwide premiere on October 6, 2022. The streaming platform made the announcement on September 14, 2022.

Directed by Anand Tiwari and written by Sumit Batheja, Maja Ma is a family entertainer set against the celebratory backdrop of a traditional festival and colorful Indian wedding. Warm and funny, this light-hearted yet thought-provoking drama with unexpected twists and turns, features Dixit in the lead, in a never-seen-before role. It boasts of an ensemble cast including Gajraj Rao, Ritwik Bhowmik, Barkha Singh, Srishti Shrivastava, Rajit Kapur, Sheeba Chaddha, Simone Singh, Malhar Thakar, and Ninad Kamat.

Speaking about the upcoming film, Aparna Purohit, head of India Originals, Prime Video said, “Maja Ma is the first of many Original Movies that will launch directly on our service.
