A lot of us travel to work by public transport and end up keeping our bags on the surface, making it catch germs and dirt that can eventually reach us. This Diwali, along with cleaning your home, don't forget to give a quick clean-up to essentials like your laptop bag. In our DIY cleaning guide, we have been bringing you step-by-step guides, and here is another one.
How To Clean Laptop Bag?
Empty Laptop Bag
Begin with removing all the things from your laptop bag, including the laptop, other accessories, and essentials.
Use A Brush To Clear Bag Of Dirt
Next, it is time to clear all the loose dirt, and crumbs in your laptop bag. For this, you can use a big brush. Gently scrub the dry brush over the interior and exterior.
Remove Dust From The Bag
Take a soft, clean cloth to remove dust from the surface of the bag. Don't miss the pockets. Use an old toothbrush to clean up smaller compartments.
Clean Stains
Over time, our laptop bags get stains and to break them down, use a mix of soap and water. In a bowl, add warm water and a teaspoon of mild liquid detergent. Mix well and use a sponge to wipe off the interior and exterior. Next, use a dry cloth to remove the soap.
If the stains are stubborn, use equal parts of water and white vinegar for cleaning. Mix the two and transfer to a spray bottle, spritz over the stain area, let it sit for a few minutes, and then clean with a dry cloth.
Get Rid Of Foul Odour
If you notice that your laptop bag has a foul odour, try using baking soda (baking soda hacks). Baking soda works well on bad odours. Take a tablespoon of baking soda and water, mix well, and apply it on the interiors of the bag. Let it sit for a few minutes. If possible, leave the bag open, and let the paste naturally dry. Use a damp cloth and wipe it off. Repeat if necessary.
