Johnny Depp's Lawyer Camille Vasquez Gets Big Promotion At Her Firm After Trial Success

A week after the decision, lawyer Camille Vasquez, who represented actor Johnny Depp in the defamation case against ex-wife Amber Heard, was promoted at her Southern California-based law company Brown Rudnick. Camille had previously worked for the firm as a litigation associate. It comes less than a week after she helped Johnny Depp in obtaining a $15 million payout after a jury ruled in his favour.

Camille Vasquez Promotion After The Big Win

Vasquez's promotion as a new partner at Brown Rudnick was announced on Twitter. It said, “We are pleased to announce that Camille Vasquez has been elevated to partner. She was a key member of the litigation team that won a jury verdict last week for actor Johnny Depp in his defamation trial against ex-wife Amber Heard." Vasquez said she was "delighted".

In a press release announcing the promotion, the legal firm said, “Historically, we have reserved this announcement for the end of our fiscal year. But Camille’s performance during the Johnny Depp trial proved to the world that she was ready to take this next step now. We are incredibly proud of her and look forward to what she will accomplish as our newest partner.”

Camille Vasquez has a reputation as a gorgeous and cutthroat lawyer. Her "objection, your honour" after "objection, your honour" in Heard's defence has gone viral on social media. Vasquez, by her tough cross-examination of witnesses and many objections to defence counsel questions, became one of the trial's surprise celebrities.
