In episode three of Tasty Adda season two, we will acquaint you with a restaurant in New Delhi where you can try tasty and healthy delicacies from Bihar. You can taste the authentic flavours from The Potbelly.
This time we went to a restaurant in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi, which is run by Puja Sahu and her mother. Her mother is the head chef and Puja decides the menu. The Bihari culinary technique is all about deep frying, roasting, and steaming.
She opened this restaurant in March 2015. This restaurant is unique in its own way, each corner reflects the culture and authenticity be it decor, ambience, lighting, and cute tissue holders. She opened her first restaurant at Shapur in August 2011.

How They Came Up With This Name
Puja asked for restaurant name suggestions from her friends and one of her friends randomly said to try “Peeto” which means “Potbelly” in English. And this is how she came up with this name.
Ambience & Decor
Talking about the ambience and decor, it reflects the minimalist side of this restaurant. They have a brown and white colour combination, which gives you a peaceful and soothing vibe. They have perfect aesthetic interiors as well.
What All You Can Try
Litti Chokha
It is one of the most popular and traditional dishes in Bihari cuisine. It has the perfect blend of spices and flavours. It is served with aubergine mash, chana dal, and potato mash. It also has sattu which is prepared with roasted chana and mustard oil and has lots of spices.
Dana Jhamarua
Another popular dish that you can try is this Dana Jhamarua, which is a mustard based gravy dish served with rotis stuffed with spiced poppy seeds.
Googni Churra
This dish is basically the spiced black chana with roasted flattened rice.
Ahuna Handi Mutton
This is a popular non-veg dish. This is cooked in a pot with a lot of spices and garlic.

Baggie
This looks like sushi. This is stuffed chana dal with rice flour tempered with spices. And is served with tomato choka and coriander chutney.

This veg biryani is full of flavours and has a soothing smell. This tasty veg biryani is cooked in earthen pots.
