Here is the simple recipe for veg biryani
Combine the ingredients in a deep non-stick pan and cook on medium flame for 10 to 12 minutes until the rice is cooked.
Strain the rice.
Heat oil in a deep non-stick pan and add cumin seeds. Add onion and saute for 1 to 2 mins
Add the spices and sauté for a few minutes.
Add tomatoes and water followed by cooking for 4 to 5 minutes.
Now add the mixed vegetables, paneer, salt, and milk and cook on a medium flame for 2 to 3 minutes.
Add sugar and cook for 1 more minute.
Combine curd, coriander and saffron color. Now add prepared rice mixture and mix well.
Transfer ½ of the rice mixture to a handle and spread it evenly.
Add the mixed vegetable gravy and spread it evenly on the top of rice.
Top it with the remaining ½ of the rice mixture.
Pour ghee over it.
Cook on a low flame for 25 to 30 minutes.
