In every Indian household, tea time is like a bonding time. And it is best if it happens with a little more flavour and wholesomeness. This snack recipe is light, healthy, and scrumptious. It is also loved by everyone, including children. To prepare the mixture, take a bowl, add all the healthy vegetables, beetroot, potato, cabbage, capsicum and chillies in it.
Add your spices, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric, Kashmiri red chilli powder, black pepper powder, cumin powder, garam masala powder, coriander powder, and chaat masala in the mixture.
Then add salt and rice flour. Bind them all together in a thick dough and refrigerate the mixture for 30 minutes.
Make small balls of the mixture.
In another bowl, make the crumb coating. Add 1 tablespoon besan, and 2 tablespoons water. Make sure the batter has no lumps.
On a plate, add ½ cup of bread crumbs.
Now take each ball, dip in the gram flour batter, then coat the ball with crumbs. Make sure the coat is even.
Place a wok on the stove, add oil and heat it on a medium flame.
When the oil becomes hot, gently place the ball in it.
Fry until the base turns crisp and a light golden in colour, and then turn each ball over.
Lastly, place a toothpick in the center of each vegetable ball.
Arrange your veg lollipops on a tray and serve hot with any dip of your choice.
