One such option that you can consider is Rice chilla wherein the primary ingredient used is rice, which is known for its amazing health benefits. It is not just light on your stomach but also provides you energy, helps fight inflammation, keeps issues like constipation at bay.

How To Prepare Rice Chilla?

  • To begin with soak the rice for 4-5 hours before
  • Then strain the rice and separate it from the water
  • Now, put the soaked rice in a blender jar and add green chilies, ginger, garlic, asafetida, salt, curd, water, and blend it to form a smooth paste
  • Transfer the batter to a bowl and add the finely chopped vegetables of your choice like onion, capsicum, tomato, coriander leaves
  • Add spices of your choice like garam masala, black pepper, coriander (dhaniya) powder, coarse cumin seeds, and baking powder
  • Add water and mix everything well in the bowl to form it into the pouring consistency
  • Then heat some oil or butter on a nonstick pan and pour 1 full spoon of the batter on the pan
  • Spread the batter evenly with the help of the spoon and let it cook for 1 min on a low flame, keep adding oil to the sides of the batter if you feel it is sticking to the pan.
  •  Flip the chilla on the other side and cook for few seconds.

  • 2-3 Cup Of Rice
  • 2-3 Green Chilles
  • ½ Ginger
  • 2-3 Garlic Cloves
  • 1tsp Asafetida
  • ½ Tsp Salt
  • 1tbsp Curd
  • Half Cup Water
  • 1 Cup Of Finely Chopped Onion
  • Capsicum
  • Tomato
  • Coriander Leaves
  • 1 Tsp Of Garam Masala
  • Black Pepper
  • Dhaniya Powder
  • Coarse Cumin Seeds
  • Baking Powder


Step 1
Soak the rice for 4-5 hours.

Blend the soaked rice along with green chilies, ginger, garlic, asafetida, salt, curd, and water.

Transfer the paste to a bowl and add finely chopped vegetables like onion, capsicum, tomato, and coriander leaves.

Mix all the ingredients well in a bowl and add water to form it into a pourable consistency.

Heat the pan with some oil or butter and pour the paste with the help of a tablespoon.

Cook the chilla on one side for 1 min and then flip it on the other side cook for few seconds.
