Ingredients

  • 2 Cup Idli Batter
  • 12 Tablespoons Jaggery Powder
  • 2 Pinches Of Salt
  • 2 Pinch Of Cardamom Powder
  • 2 Ripe Bananas(Chopped)
  • Grated Coconut
  • Ghee Or Butter
  • 2 Cups Coconut Milk

Instructions

Step 1
Start by making a puree of the chopped bananas.
Step 2
Add the idli batter, jaggery powder, salt, grated coconut and cardamom powder to it.
Step 3
Mix these ingredients well, while making sure there is no lump remaining in the batter.
Step 4
Keep it aside for an hour.
Step 5
Meanwhile, use ghee or butter to grease the idli moulds.
Step 6
After an hour check the consistency of the batter and start transferring it into the idli tray using spoons.
Step 7
Remember not to fill the whole mould up to the brim as idlis would increase in size.
Step 8
Steam cook the idlis inside the pressure cooker at medium flame for about 20 minutes.
Step 9
Then prepare jaggery sauce by mixing together coconut milk and 4 tablespoons jaggery powder.
Step 10
Mix till the jaggery dissolves in the milk and serve with hot banana idlis.
