Whether it is raining outside or you need a pick me up, some snacks are like comfort food or carings that either you order from outside or make at home. These days amid the pandemic, making it at home is the best idea and this is where some cool recipes step in. One such snack is the amazing, mouth-watering chicken popcorn especially the KFC-style ones which are actually very addictive. We do not have their secret ingredient but there is a recipe and a combination I did try at home which hits very close to that note.

This recipe involves mostly marination and mixing of seasonings which play a very important role as these can make or break your experience. I have used a seasoning I make at home but you can make it by grinding some garlic powder, oregano, red chilli flakes, parsley, ginger powder, roasted mustard (preferably mustard paste as roasted mustard can be very hot for some people).

Simply make these, Netflix and chill!

  • 250 Gms Chicken Breasts
  • Salt To Taste
  • Garlic Parsley Seasoning
  • Black Pepper Powder
  • 1 Egg White
  • Maida For Dipping The Pieces
  • Oil For Frying
  • Ginger Garlic Paste
  • Bread Crumbs Or Semolina
  • Crumbles Cornflakes.

Step 1
Cut the chicken breasts into small pieces like cubes and then take a bowl and mix in all the spices and the chicken. Let it sit for 30 minutes at least.
Step 2
Add the maida and egg white and whisk well.
Step 3
Now in another bowl, pour out the bread crumbs or semolina
Step 4
In another one, we need to crumble the cornflakes.
Step 5
Coat the chicken first in semolina, then back to the spice and egg mix and a third layer of the cornflakes crumble.
Step 6
Heat oil in a deep pan on medium hot and fry the pieces until golden.
Step 7
Do not over cook them as that can make the chicken overdone and juice less. Fry on medium flame.
Step 8
Once done, take them out on a paper or tissue and then serve with ketchup or a garlic dip.
