Bubble tea which is also known as boba is a tapioca drink that has gained popularity throughout the world due to its creaminess, sweet taste and the chewiness of the tapioca pearls. What is the good news? You do not have to go to an expensive cafe to have it. This is how it is prepared at home, the easy way.
Take the commercially manufactured black tapioca pearls. Cook them in water (most times it takes about 20-30 minutes) according to package directions. Boil them, then plump them in a syrup of honey or sugar.
Using black tea, jasmine tea or green tea will be a good choice, brewed strong. Allow it to cool or refrigerate it. That will be your flavor base.
Put milk (dairy or non-dairy) in your chilled tea. Add candy such as sugar, condensed milk or honey. Taste and sweeten to taste.
4. Making Your Bubble Tea
Put the pearls of boba at the bottom of a cup. Add some ice cubes, and pour your milk tea over the ice cubes. Stir well.
Cold, and remember to bring out with it a wide straw, that you may slurp up those chewy pearls!
