Fish Kebab Recipe

Fish Kebab is one of the easiest snacks you can make using cubed fish fillets, garlic paste and lemon juice. This grilled version is preferred with green chutney. Whether you are planning to host a party or you want to try something new for your family, this recipe is the one you should give a try. How To Make Fish Kebab

Follow the below-mentioned steps to make a delicious and crispy Fish Kebab:

Step 1: Take a saucepan and add water, garlic paste, salt and fish and cook on medium flame for 5 to 10 minutes. 

Step 2: Strain the water and mash the boiled fish using a masher properly. 

Step 3: Keep it aside for later use. 

Step 4: Take another pan, add sliced potatoes and water and keep it on medium flame for 5 to 10 minutes to boil. 

Step 5: Strain the water, mash the potatoes gently and keep it aside.

Step 6: Now take a pan and put it on the flame. Add oil and onions to it. 

Step 7: Saute the onions until it is translucent and then add finely chopped green chillies. 

Step 8: Stir fry them both and keep them aside. 

Step 9: Take a bowl with bread crumbs, salt and chilli flakes and mix them well. Keep it aside for coating. 

Step 9: Now take a large bowl and combine the mashed fish, mashed potatoes, fried onions and chillies. 

Step 10: Add salt, white pepper, red chilli powder, black pepper, beaten egg, paprika powder and lemon juice. Mix them well. 

Step 11: Wet your palms with oil, take a small quantity of mixture and shape it into kebab.

Step 12: Coat the kebab with the bread crumbs mixture thoroughly. 

Step 13: Take a frying pan and add a few drops of oil to it. 

Step 14: Place the coated Kebab and let it fry until golden brown on both sides. 

Step 15: Serve it hot with green chutney.

Ingredients

  • 700 Grams Fish
  • 1 Litre Water
  • Salt to Taste
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Garlic Paste
  • 2-3 Potatoes
  • Oil as Per Need
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • 1-2 Green Chilies
  • Chopped
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground White Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Paprika Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 Teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 Egg
  • Beaten
  • 1½ Cup Bread Crumbs
  • 1 Teaspoon Chili Flakes

Step

  1. Step 1:

    Boil water, garlic paste, salt and fish for 5 to 10 minutes.

  2. Step 2:

    Mash the boiled fish using a masher and keep it aside.

  3. Step 3:

    Boil sliced potatoes and water for 5 to 10 minutes, mash and keep it aside.

  4. Step 4:

    Fry onions and green chillies in a pan.

  5. Step 5:

    Mix bread crumbs with salt and chilli flakes. Keep it aside for coating.

  6. Step 6:

    Take a large bowl and combine the mashed fish, mashed potatoes, fried onions and chillies.

  7. Step 7:

    Add salt, white pepper, red chilli powder, black pepper, beaten egg, paprika powder and lemon juice. Mix them well.

  8. Step 8:

    Wet your palms with oil and make round-shaped kebabs with the mixture.

  9. Step 9:

    Coat it with the bread crumbs.

  10. Step 10:

    Take a frying pan and fry them until golden brown from both sides.

  11. Step 11:

    Serve it hot with green chutney.
