Step 1: Start by preparing the dressing. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, rice vinegar, Korean chilli flakes, Korean fish sauce, and sugar. Whisk everything together until the sugar dissolves and the flavours are well combined. The dressing should have a balance of sweet, tangy, and savoury. Set this aside to let the flavours meld.

Step 2: In a large mixing bowl, add your chopped Swiss chard, cucumbers, purple onions, apples, lettuce, red onions, and baby spinach. This will give your salad a good crunch.

Step 3: Pour the dressing over the veggies and fruit mixture. Gently toss everything together to make sure all the ingredients are evenly coated with the dressing.

Step 4: Finally, sprinkle toasted sesame seeds and fresh coriander leaves over the top of the salad. Give it one last gentle toss before serving.

  • 3 tablespoon thinly sliced Swiss chard green
  • 3 tablespoon thinly sliced cucumbers
  • 1 small thinly sliced purple onions
  • 3 tablespoon thinly sliced apples
  • 2 tablespoon thinly sliced lettuce
  • 1 small thinly sliced red onions
  • 2 tablespoon thinly sliced baby spinach
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 2 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon Korean fish sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Korean chilli flakes (Gochugaru)
  • 2 teaspoon sugar
