It is an ultimate breakfast and snack option which is supremely delicious and easy to prepare. Although, now with the increased popularity of this savory there are various versions of vada pav in the market but, the one with stuffed cheese is something you have to try once. Here is the easy recipe to make spicy cheese vada pav at the comfort of your own house. 

To Prepare Cheese Sauce

  • Take a pan and boil 1 cup water.
  • Add 1 cup milk, 4tbsp grated cheese, and 1 tbsp butter in the boiling water.
  • Mix all the ingredients well till it forms into a creamy texture.

  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 1tsp Mustard Seeds
  • 1tsp Cumin Seeds (Jeera) 1 Tsp
  • 5-10 Curry Leaves
  • 1 Tsp Ginger Garlic Paste (Optional)
  • 1 Finely Chopped Green Chilli
  • ½ Tsp Turmeric Powder
  • 2 Boiled Potatoes
  • Salt To Taste
  • Half Lemon Juice
  • 1tbsp Chopped Coriander Leaves
  • Cheesy Sauce
  • 3-4 Tbsp Gram Flour (Besan)
  • 1tsp Ajwain
  • 1tsp Carom Seeds
  • 1 Cup Water
  • Vegetable Oil For Frying


Step 1
Heat oil in a pan on a medium flame, add cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves, and sauté it for one minute.
Step 2
Put ginger garlic paste, green chillies, turmeric powder, and sauté for another one minute.
Step 3
Mash the boiled potatoes, add them to the pan, and mix well. Keep stirring the paste for 5minutes.
Step 4
Now add salt, lemon juice, coriander leaves to the potatoes and stir the mixture well, transfer it to a utensil and let it cool down.
Step 5
Take a bowl and add gram flour, Ajwain, salt and prepare a thick paste by mixing it with using water.
Step 6
Rub some oil on your palms, and then take the potato mixture and make it into small balls and then flatten them by pressing your palms against each other.
Step 7
Add the cheese sauce to the potato base and again make it into a ball and flatten them.
Step 8
Now carefully dip the flattened potato ball into the gram flour paste and then pour it into the hot oil to deep fry the vadas.
Step 9
Once the vadas turn brown into colour, transfer them to a serving plate and enjoy them with green chutney.
