Ingredients

  • 1/2 ltr milk
  • 1 tsp custard powder
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Small pinch kesar
  • 1/8 tsp elaichi powder
  • Some almonds & pistachios
  • 1 cup cooked rice

Instructions

Step 1
Grind the rice to make a thick paste (not in the grinder or blender, as we have to make balls with it).
Step 2
Heat milk in a pan and when it is half done, add the kesar and sugar.
Step 3
Mix the custard powder in a cup of milk and pour it into the pan stirring continuously.
Step 4
Add the cardamom powder and then switch off the flame. Let it cool for a while.
Step 5
Now, in the rice batter, mix in some sugar powder, elaichi and left over milk and make a dough.
Step 6
Heat water in your steamer while you make the balls.
Step 7
Steam the balls for 10 minutes and once done let them cool down.
Step 8
Now, in the pan with the custard powder solution, add chopped dry fruits and the rice balls.
Step 9
Mix with a very gentle hand and serve.
