If you are a hardcore noodle lover but don’t want to compromise your digestive health, homemade atta noodles are a perfect alternative. You can prepare it from scratch using healthy atta, veggies and sauces.

  • 2 Cups whole wheat flour (atta)
  • 1/2 Cup water (adjust as needed)
  • 1 green chilli, chopped
  • 1/2 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons carrot, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons green peas (matar), fresh or frozen
  • 2 tablespoons sweet corns
  • A pinch of red chilli powder
  • A pinch of turmeric powder
  • A pinch of coriander powder
  • A pinch of garam masala powder
  • 1/2 tablespoon cooking oil
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon fresh coriander leaves, finely chopped

Homemade Atta Maggi Noodles Recipe

  1. Combine whole wheat flour and salt in a large mixing bowl. Gradually add water while kneading to form a smooth, elastic dough. Adjust water as needed, then cover and let rest for 15-20 minutes.
  2. Divide the rested dough into small portions and roll out each into a thin sheet on a floured surface. Then, use a sharp knife to cut into thin strips or pass through noodle-making equipment to form your noodles.
  3. Cook the homemade atta Maggi noodles in a pot of boiling, salted water for 2-3 minutes or until they float to the surface. Then, drain and rinse the noodles under cold water to prevent sticking.
  4. Heat cooking oil in a pan and saute all the ingredients one by one. Add spices and coriander leaves and last, then mix everything together.
  5. Add the cooked homemade atta maggie noodles and mix.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves (optional) then serve hot.
