Hombale Films and Rishab Shetty have just announced the release date for ‘Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1’, the prequel to the blockbuster global hit, ‘Kantara’. Fans are anticipating the movie's release and other details about the cast, possible plot, and other information. 

Kantara Chapter 1: Release Date

The action-thriller ‘Kantara’, produced by Hombale Films—known for the hit franchise ‘KGF’—was written, directed, and led by the versatile star Rishab Shetty. A prequel, titled ‘Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1’, is set to be launched soon.

Rishab Shetty and Hombale Films made a collaborative Instagram post to announce the release date of the prequel. The post featured a movie poster showcasing Rishab Shetty in a rugged look, sporting a beard and wielding weapons, alongside a muscular physique reminiscent of a Greek god. ‘Kantara A Legend: Chapter 1’ will be released globally on October 2, 2025, in multiple languages, including Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali, Hindi, and English.

Kantara Chapter 1: Possible Plot

The plot of ‘Kantara’ explores the intricate relationship between man and nature, set against the backdrop of a small coastal village in Karnataka. The first film masterfully blends mythology, folklore, and action, highlighting the cultural practices of coastal Karnataka, particularly the sacred tradition of ‘Bhoota Kola’.
