Kannada Blockbuster Kantara Gets OTT Release Date

Kannada blockbuster Kantara is one of the highest-earning movies of 2022. It has entered the ₹100 crore club at the box office. Rishab Shetty directed and played the leading character in the movie.

The period-action thriller Kantara highlights the bond between people and nature. The depiction of class politics, prevalent in Indian culture, is the central theme of Kantara. In the movie, there is a struggle between the wealthy and the poor, as a landlord from an upper caste steals the tribal people's land and denies them their rights.

According to the latest media reports Kantara is all set to get an OTT release this month on November 24, 2022. It will be released on Amazon Prime Video. In the movie, Sapthami Gowda, Kishore, and Achyuth Kumar play pivotal roles. The movie was theatrically released on September 30, 2022.

Several celebrities from India have been praising the movie and Rishab's character.

The Hindi version of the film has crossed the ₹76 crore mark (till November 18) in its fifth weekend. Kantara follows in the footsteps of South Indian films like KGF (Bollywood to Sandalwood: K. G. F. Star Yash Wants To Do Away With Separate ‘Woods’), Pushpa, and Baahubali which received worldwide praise for their concept and performances.
