Movie buffs, gear up, a mystery thriller is soon coming your way. This morning, Netflix announced Do Patti, starring Kajol and Kriti Sanon on their Instagram. The post read, "Who had ‘@kritisanon and @kajol starring together in a movie again’ on their bingo card?! 😱 Because #DoPatti is happening!"

Sanon too took to her gram and announced the upcoming release. She wrote, "Thrilled to announce DO PATTI! 🦋🦋

Ever since Netflix and the cast and crew announced Do Patti on their respective handles, movie fanatics can't keep calm and have been flooding the posts with congratulatory messages. No wonder why! The upcoming release is special in more ways than one.

Kriti Sanon's Debut As A Producer

Do Patti will mark Kriti Sanon's debut as a producer. Ahead of the movie announcement today, Sanon introduced the world to Blue Butterfly Films, her production company. Kriti Sanon has been a part of the showbiz for almost a decade now and now we will get to see her dabbling into production with Blue Butterfly Films.

Story By Kanika Dhillon

Sanon will don the producer's hat along with popular film writer Kanika Dhillon. Screenwriter Dhillon has given us some memorable narratives in the past, Manmarziyaan, Kedarnath, Guilty, and Haseen Dilruba to name a few. It will be interesting to see what the writer has in store for us this time.

Kajol And Kriti Sanon Reunite

After eight long years, Kajol and Kriti Sanon will reunite on screen. The two were last seen in Rohit Shetty's Dilwale which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan in prominent roles.

Do Patti will be Kajol's third project with Netflix. Earlier, she was seen in Tribhanga and Lust Stories 2. Kajol has been experimenting with her roles lately and we can't wait to see what character she has to play in Do Patti. On the other hand, Sanon too has proved her acting prowess by signing projects across genres.

Kajol was last seen on Lust Stories opposite Kumud Mishra where she plays a homemaker who is sexually abused by her partner, an unexpected role winning her many praises from the audience. Kriti Sanon made it to the silver screen recently with Adipurush, a mythological action film based on the Hindu epic, Ramayana. The film stars Saif Ali Khan, Sunny Singh, and Prabhas. Even though the movie has managed to earn crores at the box office, it is being brutally trolled for everything, right from the VFX to the casting to the dialogues. The film is expected to make it to OTT soon.

Do Patti is a mystery thriller set in North India. Netflix hasn't announced the release date yet.
