Dhurandhar Shooting Locations: Find Out Where Ranveer Singh And Aditya Dhar's Action Thriller Was Filmed

Starring Ranveer Singh and directed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar’ is an action-thriller that will hit the silver screen on December 5, 2025. The movie is creating waves not only for its ensemble cast and high-octane action but also because of the highly ambitious shooting map, a journey that saw the production zigzag across continents, bringing such a vast world to life.

There are films shot in controlled studio environments, and then there are films like ‘Dhurandhar’, a production so sprawling that its geography becomes a character of its own. With the narrative inspired by real-life incidents set in the criminal underworld with a backdrop of Indian patriotism, the film duly required equally varied and authentic backdrops. The film's shooting schedule was spread over more than a year, tracing a route that spanned from the backstreets of Southeast Asia to the high-altitude deserts of the Himalayas.

Dhurandhar Shooting Locations

Principal photography on 'Dhurandhar' commenced in July 2024 in Bangkok, Thailand. Thailand played an important role in the making: shooting sequences that are set in Pakistan. As per reports, the production team, led by Aditya Dhar, relied on Thailand's diverse and controlled environment to shoot high-stakes action and recreate the streets of Pakistan, including a massive 6-acre set built in Bangkok. This is because achieving such a scale would have been difficult in Mumbai once the monsoons start.

The second major schedule rolled out in Amritsar, Punjab, from November 2024 onward. Scenes were shot at the sacred Golden Temple, adding a deep-rooted cultural and atmospheric feel to pivotal parts of the story. The makers also shot in Khera Village in Punjab, blending more authentic regional textures into the large-scale film.

While high-octane action rolls out across several locations in the film, its filming remained quite firmly stationed in the real-world neighbourhood locations of Mumbai, providing a raw backdrop that captures the soul of the city. The key locations in Mumbai included Filmistan Studios, where the filming began in February 2025 for indoor sequences and large-scale set pieces. A schedule was also shot at Madh Island, wrapping up by late April 2025, which hinted at coastal or hidden lair sequences. Further, action sequences involving stunts were filmed at the Dombivli-Mankoli Bridge in May 2025, to bring about effortless scale, while a vibrant dance number for the film was reportedly shot at the Golden Tobacco Factory in Vile Parle in July 2025.

The production also went to Ladakh to shoot the region's rugged, wind-whipped topography for critical parts. Shooting here was infamously difficult, though, as the filming had to be temporarily stopped after more than a hundred crew members fell severely ill due to food poisoning testament to the logistical challenges of shooting in such remote, high-altitude terrain.

Dhurandhar's Cast and Production Details

That sprawling geography aside, the reported runtime is well over three and a half hours at 214 minutes, which automatically makes the film one of the longest Bollywood films in recent history. ‘Dhurandhar’ boasts an immaculate ensemble cast, which includes Ranveer Singh as a fearless Indian intelligence agent, while R. Madhavan, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, and Sara Arjun round out the cast.

The big Bollywood film comes from Jio Studios, a presentation by B62 Studios, co-produced by Aditya Dhar, along with Jyoti Deshpande and Lokesh Dhar. Promising massive scope and intense action in every frame, ‘Dhurandhar’ is positioned to be among the biggest cinematic entertainers of 2025.
