Dhanush’s ‘Raayan’ Becomes 2024's Biggest Blockbuster in Kollywood

Dhanush starrer action-drama ‘Raayan’ released on the silver screen on July 26, 2024, instantly became a massive hit. Raayan marks Dhanush’s 50th movie and his second directorial venture where he can be seen showcasing his skills both as an actor and director. As per the report, Raayan has performed exceptionally well at the box office worldwide, earning nearly Rs 50 crore in collections.

Raayan has a good start, receiving positive feedback in just 4 days of release. As per the report by Cinetrak, 'Raayan' has reportedly earned around Rs 13 crore on day 4 (Monday).

Here’s a day-wise box office breakup of 'Raayan' after 4 days - net collection:

Friday: Rs 13.65 crore
Saturday: Rs 13.75 crore
Sunday: Rs 15.25 crore
Monday: Rs 5.25 crore

Total: Rs 47.90 crore

At the worldwide box office, Raayan had already defined its solid run. Reportedly, the film went housefull in many centres for the evening and night shows. Watching the rapid success pace of Raayan, it's all set to reach the 100-crore mark soon. It will be Dhanush’s first film to reach this mark at such a rapid pace. After four days, Raayan’s overall collection stands close to Rs 87 crore. The domestic collection of Raayan stands is estimated to be around Rs 60 crore, including Rs 40 crore which comes from Tamil Nadu. Raayan has already become Dhanush’s highest film in multiple overseas locations by earning Rs 27 crore.
