Geeta Singh established TYC Communication in 2012 with just Rs. 50,000 and after 13 years, her turnover stands at roughly Rs. 10 crore+ and counting. In the coming years, she expects her communication and event management firm to clock Rs. 100 crore. Stunning figures, right? The story of this Uttarakhand woman is equally captivating and will leave you feeling inspired. Read on to learn how she overcame the numerous hurdles to keep the engine running.
The Success Story Of Geeta Singh of TYC Communication
Singh hails from a remote village in Uttarakhand where girls aren't permitted to have their opinions. Their voices are throttled and they are usually thrust into the institution of marriage at a very young age.

Crossing every cultural and familial challenge, the gritty girl showed her folks how her ambitions were more powerful than social stigmas. Doing "any work with consistency and diligence" was a learning she got very early on in her entrepreneurial journey and this became her driving force.
After getting a bachelor's degree in Political Science from Delhi University, the 36-year-old pursued a mass communication & journalism diploma from Jagran Institute Of Management & Mass Communication (JIMMC), Noida. She worked in some of the reputed media companies, which gave her insights into how the industry works.
However, witnessing women entrepreneurs in the branding and communication world became the turning point in Singh's life. "I was always influenced by their success...since these are the torchbearers for the youths and a vision to see beyond the boundaries set for women for ages," she shares with HerZindagi.
Also, in her opinion, "simply getting a high corporate package is far from women's empowerment in true respect," which made her think about launching her venture. Eventually, TYC Communication was born in 2012 when Singh was in her mid-20s.

She intended to offer "equal opportunities to men and women," but "the women employees outnumber their male counterparts, and with their collaborative support, we are touching one milestone after another."
And milestones they were. The "brandwagon" of TYC Communication includes names like the Indian Oil Corporation, IFFCO, USAID, IIIT-D, and the Rashtriya Sewa Bharti, among many others.

The firm was also a partner to coveted events like Khel Mahakumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, the 38th National Games in Uttarakhand, the Golden Pagoda Marathon in Arunachal Pradesh, and the E-Rickshaw & E-Boat launch event in Varanasi and Noida by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Still In 'Growing Stage,' Singh on TYC Communication
Despite such proud associations, Singh says they are still in the "growing stage."
"After a successful track record of serving 350+ clients, organizing 50+ events, penetration in over 200 cities through associates and stringers, and having an in-house team of 50+ energetic people, we are obviously in the growing stage with diverse projects across India in the field of public relations, digital marketing, and event management," she highlights.
In the next three years, Singh wants TYC Communication to be in the top 5 brand management companies. "With a smart and studious team, we envision Rs 100 Cr turnover by 2028, building a legacy or an example of a successful woman-led company," she says with a shine in her eyes.
So, what's her message to aspiring women entrepreneurs? "Be ready for challenges, don’t get disheartened, after every failure, come up with a new force and weather the negative winds," Ms Geeta Singh wraps up.
