Sarees For Pre-Wedding Festivities
Who said brides-to-be can't wear a saree for their pre-wedding celebrations? Sarees look super traditional and there is nothing like carrying one for celebrations like mehendi, puja, or haldi. For her haldi ceremony, Neha Kakkar opted for a yellow coloured georgette saree. Her plain saree was teamed with a matching satin blouse.

Kajal Aggarwal too opted for a yellow saree by Manish Malhotra for a pre-wedding celebration. Her custom-made saree had Resham thread work and embellishments. It was teamed with a fringe detail blouse. Manish Malhotra, in an interview, shared that the saree took about 25 days to create as it was made during the lockdown with limited karigars at work.
Anarkalis Are Making A Comeback
Remember there were days when brides used to carry those frock style suits for their pre-wedding festivities? Looks like the trend is making a comeback this season. Recently, Sana Khan shared some of her pictures from her mehendi ceremony at home. For the celebrations, Sana Khan was dressed in an orange anarkali suit which had beautiful gota patti work. Her outfit was paired with a gulaabi pink dupatta. If you are someone who loves bright coloured outfits then a suit like this one can be a good pick.

Ivory and blush pinks have become a clear favourite among brides this season. Right from Neha Kakkar to Miheeka Bajaj, so many celebrity brides carried pastel shade outfits on their D-day.
Neha Kakkar wore a pale pink, intricate embroidered lehenga from the house of Sabyasachi Mukherjee for her wedding. Her lehenga was embellished with ‘zardozi’ and ‘meenakari’ accents.
Miheeka Bajaj for her wedding day carried an ivory and gold lehenga by Anamika Khanna. Talking about Miheeka's wedding lehenga, the ace designer said, “Miheeka and her mother Bunty Bajaj both have a really fine and subtle taste and wanted something very elegant for the wedding. We decided to do a cream and gold lehenga with a coral head veil for the bride. The lehenga is a hand-done zardosi with the finest form of chikankari and gold metalwork teamed with a woven gold dupatta. This fine creation took close to 10,000 man hours to make."
Her lehenga came with two dupattas, a matching ivory and gold one and the other one was a traditional red dupatta.
Gold Is Getting A Lot Of Love
If the bold colour palette is just not for you then go for a gold lehenga. For her after wedding party, Kajal Aggarwal opted for a gold lehenga from Falguni Shane Peacock. Her mermaid-cut lehenga had intricate beadwork and was teamed with a matching blouse that had little cut-outs. The lehenga also came with a sheer cape style dupatta but Kajal went sans it.
