The festival season is on and we are all gearing up to look our best. Hunting for a good tailor, looking for that best lehenga or suit can be challenging since we all know that there are so many options out there that it can get very confusing. Getting the colour palette right too can be a task. But Birthday girl Tabu's looks in different shows, movies and events in general may just help you get a clearer picture. Here are a few looks of this amazing actress that made her look royal and classy in A Suitable Boy to Fitoor, with leading couturiers like Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Anita Dongre and Anamika Khanna at the helm of affairs.
Designed by Anita Dongre, this suit is the winner this season simply because the colour blue has been declared the colour of the year. It is a royal colour and the silverwork is perfect for not just a wedding but also for a Diwali party. Tabu wore this suit during the promotions of her film Golmaal and she made sure that she looks simple yet classy. She let the ensemble do the talking with just long simple earrings as her accessory. Her hair has been kept simple, straight and open with minimal makeup. Just put kajal or a simple eyeliner, a stroke of mascara, and a nude lip shade. Wear heels or juttis depending upon your height and comfort level.
A seriously heavy saree, this look pulled off by Tabu in the ongoing series A Suitable Boy is perfect for a wedding. A new bride can easily wear a piece like this which has ample embroidered work all over in silver. Tabu is wearing a chhapka and earrings but you can also go for a maang tika. Keep your makeup nude because the saree is loud enough and do not forget to wear your classic warm smile.
A red ensemble can never go wrong and it can be perfect for any occasion. This look of Tabu's is perfect for a Diwali party and also for attending a wedding as a guest. The full sleeves and the woven work by Anamika Khanna is gorgeous. The gota patti work is exquisite and Tabu has just worn earrings and a golden fawn jutti with it as accessories. With her hair gathered on one side and minimal makeup, the actress looks classy for sure.
The Beige Golden Suit
This number by Sabyasachi Mukherjee is classy from every angle. The kurta suit was worn by the actress in Dubai for AsiaVision Award 2015. It had a lot of zari work at the bottom near the hemline and the dupatta had a lot of mokaish work in subtle golden. What I loved is her maroonish red-hued hair that she sported in the film Fitoor. The gajra looks just perfect as a hair accessory and she finished her look with golden juttis. This look can be pulled off at any event this festive season but all you have to play with is your makeup and accessory game depending upon the occasion.
So which look of Tabu's did you like?
