Threads: Know All The Buzz About The Twitter Rival Created By Meta

Along with keeping track of Twitter trends, you now have to follow Threads to know what the conversation on the internet is about. Created by Meta, the new social media platform is being called the rival of Twitter, another social platform with millions of users.

It already has more than 50k downloads on Google Play Store and is currently rising on the trend. While many content creators are still exploring and trying to understand what this new application has in store for us, the platform is already abuzz with ‘threads’.

Details About Threads

The description of Threads on the Google Play Store reads that it is an All-in-one team communication platform. However, it boasts a similar look to Twitter. You will post something on it, and people can comment on your thread, repost it, share it further, and leave a like by clicking on a heart icon like Instagram. 

When you first download it on your phone, it will ask you to fill in details. On the bottom, you can import all the information from your IG account, including your profile image, bio, and contacts. 

How To Access Threads On Lap

If you want to access it on mobile, you should download it from Google Play Store or Apple App Store. Once you have created your Id or added details via Instagram, you should be able to post a thread on your profile. 

One of the easiest ways to access Threads is by visiting your IG profile on the phone, clicking on three parallel lines in the top right corner, and clicking on Threads. 

If you want to access Threads on your laptop (How To Clear Search History On Laptop) or computer, log into your Instagram profile, tap on your username, and you will see the icon of Threads beside the ‘Edit Profile’ button. You can click on it to review your profile, threads, and replies. There is not much that you can do on a laptop on the computer, but you can surely use the platform for live communication with anyone on the platform.

Threads vs Twitter

• The biggest difference between Threads and Twitter is that to get a blue tick on the latter platform, a person has to pay $8 per month. However, a verified user on Instagram will have a credible account on the former platform.
• According to a Bloomberg report, Threads has been launched without ads to attract more users. 
• For using Threads, a person must have a profile on Instagram, but there is no such compulsion for any user to use Twitter. You can sign-up with your preferred details.
• You can post only 20 seconds videos on Twitter, but you will be able to post at least a 5-minute video on Threads. 
• Twitter (Twitter Battles Impersonator Accounts After Launching Paid Verification System) has a limit of 280 characters per tweet, whereas you can publish around 500 characters in one thread. Do you think this will work in favour of Threads and help the platform grow its popularity?
