Tina Datta is currently a contestant on Bigg Boss 16 and grabbing headlines of every media house. We have known her for years since she played the lead in a popular show on Colors TV in 2009.

Born in 1991, Datta started her career when she was only five. She starred in a serial called Sister Nivedita. It also kickstarted her acting career in films.
Later, she appeared in one of the stories of a Colors TV show called Koi Aane Ko Hai. She played the victim of black magic.
However, Datta became a household name in 2009 when she was cast as one of the leads in Uttaran alongside Rashmi Desai. She received acclaim for playing the role of Ichcha, who had a turbulent friendship with Tapasya.
Her chemistry with Rohit Khurana and Nandish Sandhu was much appreciated by the audience. She even made it to many nominations and won several accolades for her performance.
She even played parts in daily soaps of the Bengali television industry. Actor's one of the most popular roles was in Khela in which she played a thug. In 2020, she played Ketki in the Hindi web series Naxalbari.

Datta started acting in films with Pita Matar Santaan in which she played the heroine’s daughter. Later, she appeared in Sagarkanya, Dus Number Bari and others.
She received name and fame with Rituparno Ghosh’s Chokher Bali. The 2003 movie is famously known for Aishwarya Rai playing the lead in it. Later, she also played young Lalita in Parineeta, a 2005 film.

Bigg Boss 16 is not Datta’s first reality TV show. She has appeared in many. Not many remember, but she was a part of Bigg Boss seasons five and 14.
Other shows in which Datta graced our screens include Comedy Circus, Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 7, Comedy Nights Bachao, Comedy Nights with Kapil and Comedy Classes.

Datta is often spotted wearing ethnic outfits, and she nails it every time. She often gets clicked wearing a traditional Bengali saree and jewellery. The actor, however, prefers sarees, suits and chic Indo-Western for most of her shoots.
A few other times, Datta is often spotted donning dresses, evening gowns and pantsuits. Her preference often sides with making a fashion statement without compromising on comfort.
