Corn is an extremely important crop in Sainji, and their practice even reflects in their farming lifestyle. It is also the main crop grown in the village. Villagers of Sainji follow the practice of organic farming and grow flint corn, which is more popularly known as Indian corn. These vibrant yellow corns add a unique beauty to the village and make the history of Sainji even richer.

The villagers of Sainji belong to the Jaunsari tribe, which is also the largest tribe in all of Uttarakhand. They are known for their rooted customs, language and their rich culture.
