Skytrax has officially announced the winners of the Best Airlines in 2026, honouring the airlines that have maintained the highest standards of comfort and trust among travellers. Here is the list of airlines that were ranked in the top 10 list of 2026 by Skytrax.

Followed by EVA Air, Qantas Airways, STARLUX Airlines, Lufthansa, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Iberia, Air Canada, Virgin Atlantic, Swiss International Airlines and Thai Airways, respectively. 

As the history continues, Singapore Airlines has once again ranked as the World's Best Airline in 2026. Along with it also got the title of World's Best Economy Class and World's Best Economy Class Onboard Catering as well.  

In the media brief, Edward Plaisted, CEO of Skytrax, shared, "We congratulate Singapore Airlines on this major achievement of being named as the World's Best Airline in 2026, which highlights the level of product and service excellence they provide to the customers."

Singapore Airlines Wins Top Airline Of 2026 Award

This is the sixth time in the history of Skytrax that Singapore Airlines has won the award for the top airline category. The World Airline Awards 2026 were announced at the gala ceremony at the Langham Hotel in London on September 18, 2026. 

Air India was the highest-ranked Indian airline on the global list, which stood at 57th place in the rankings. IndiGo ranked at 61st position, 22 places down from the 2025 list. Despite the lower position, it was able to maintain the second rank in the highest Indian carrier category.

South Asian Airlines Ranking

Here is the complete list of Indian airlines and South Asian rankings and performances for the year 2026. 

The regional ranking means Air India leads the India and South Asia category, with its global position remaining outside the Top 50. IndiGo also made it to the list of Top 100 airlines of 2026.
