Last month, actor Swara Bhasker announced her court wedding with activist Fahad Ahmad days after keeping it a secret. Bhasker made the announcement with a beautiful video montage with Ahmad, giving a glimpse of her relationship and then her court wedding. She captioned her post, "Sometimes you search far & wide for something that was right next to you all along. We were looking for love, but we found friendship first. And then we found each other! Welcome to my heart @FahadZirarAhmad It’s chaotic but it’s yours!"
Bhasker also shared a slew of pictures from her court wedding on her Twitter handle. Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad registered their wedding with the Special Marriage Act and further announced with her post that the two will be having a 'shehnaai - wala shaadi', a traditional wedding ceremony.
She took to Twitter and wrote, “Three cheers for the #SpecialMarriageAct (despite notice period etc.) At least it exists & gives love a chance… The right to love, the right to choose your life partner, the right to marry, the right to agency these should not be a privilege. @FahadZirarAhmad.”
Swara Bhasker And Fahan Ahmad Get Married In A Traditional Ceremony
Swara Bhasker and Fahan Ahmad got married today in a traditional wedding ceremony in the former's hometown. The couple's family and close friends were in attendance. For the day wedding ceremony, Bhasker opted for a traditional red saree from the label Raw Mango. Bhasker's Banarasi silk saree with buti work, golden motifs and a matching border is priced at ₹94,800. She paired her saree with a matching blouse and gold stripes.

Her bridal look was rounded off with temple jewellery - a beautiful necklace, matching earrings, nath, maatha patti and red bangles. We love how she kept her bridal look minimal. Her makeup too was kept soft and dewy.

Ahead of the wedding, the couple hosted festivities like mehendi and sangeet in the national capital. For the mehendi, Swara Bhasker opted for a stunning orange-hued Anarkali suit with delicate mirror work. Bhasker was quite active on her Instagram during the mehendi ceremony and shared a couple of pictures live from the event.

Swara Bhasker and Fahad Ahmad's video montage that captured their love story hinted at the two falling in love during the anti-citizenship law protests in Delhi. Not much is known about Ahmad, however, his bio states that he is the president of the Samajwadi Party's youth wing.
