The Renee cosmetics brand has quickly carved out a niche for itself, blending playful packaging with budget-friendly performance. We got our hands on a curated selection of their top products, spanning makeup and hair care, to determine if they truly deliver on the promises of easy glam and effective results. After rigorous testing over the past week, here are our detailed impressions.
The Bollywood Filter Primer promises a flawless, soft-focus base, a high bar to set. The texture is silicone-heavy, which is common for pore-blurring products, but it surprisingly felt lightweight on the skin. It did an excellent job of filling in fine lines and blurring enlarged pores around the nose and cheeks. Makeup glided over it smoothly, and we noticed a visible difference in foundation longevity, especially during a hectic eight-hour workday. If you struggle with texture, this product is worth its weight for achieving that airbrushed look.

The RENEE pH Blush Stick was the item we were most curious about. This stick glides on clear or very pale pink and is designed to react with your skin’s pH level to create a custom, natural flush. The application is effortless and incredibly user-friendly; it's practically impossible to overdo. The resulting colour was a beautiful, warm rose that truly looked like a natural post-workout glow. It melts into the skin rather than sitting on top, making it perfect for a "no-makeup makeup" look.

The Eyeliner and Mascara were tested for durability and ease of use. The liner provided a deep, intense black pigment, delivering crisp lines without skipping. Crucially, it stayed put through humidity and a few accidental eye rubs, proving its smudge-proof claims. The mascara delivered on volume and length without clumping. While it created a lovely, dramatic flutter, those with very short lashes might need a few extra coats to build significant length.

Finally, the RENEE Frizz-Free Hair Finishing Gel. Designed for taming flyaways and sealing sleek styles, the texture is lightweight and non-greasy. A tiny dollop smoothed down baby hairs and static without leaving any sticky residue or hardening the hair—a major win. It kept the ends of our style polished throughout the day, proving its efficacy as a true finishing product for a clean, effortless look.

This selection of Renee products performed admirably across the board. The standout items were the Bollywood Filter Primer for its impressive blurring effect and the pH Blush Stick for its unique, customizable colour. Renee offers excellent value, proving that achieving a polished, photo-ready look doesn't require breaking the bank. We definitely recommend adding these performers to your beauty routine.
