1 cup (200 g) granulated white sugar, 1/8 cup (30 ml) lemon juice (preferably bottled) and 1/8 cup (30 ml) warm water.

Here are the step-by-step instructions to make sugar wax at home.

Step 1: Take a medium-sized pot and place it on the gas.

Step 2: Measure the ingredients and add sugar to the pot. Use granulated sugar, powdered sugar won’t work.

Step 3: Now add lemon juice and warm water. Stir thoroughly to combine them all.

Step 4: Allow the mixture to cook on the high burner until it starts boiling. Keep on stirring until it starts to bubble.

Step 5: Take care not to burn the mixture.

Step 6: When the mixture starts boiling, reduce the heat to medium and stir frequently. Make sure to completely dissolve the sugar at this point. If the mixture keeps boiling, turn the flame to low.

Step 7: Once the mixture reaches a smooth consistency and becomes deep golden brown, turn off the heat and move the pot to another burner.
